The Cortisol “Boogeyman”
Happy Sunday!
Sarah here! Happy belated Valentine’s Day if you celebrate. I shall be honest- it historically has been my least favorite Holiday, I love almost all of them but this one just feels like a lot of shoulds , restaurants packed with lame prix fe menus and a chance for Hallmark to clean up. BUT this year was different. Why because my BFF got MARRIED yesterday and I was honored to be her matron of honor. I got to witness and be a part of real Love - that I’m so about that. However you feel about Valentine’s Day, I do love celebrating women, being a part of their lives and leveling up together.
Which brings me to today’s topic. Cortisol.
The Cortisol “Boogeyman”
A lot of women confess to me they’re scared to take on their goals that require hard training ( whether it's building muscle or running a half marathon, a Hyrox, first 10k or anything else… ) because of cortisol.
“Will my training wreck my hormones?”
“Is cortisol making me fat?”
“I need to be careful in my luteal phase.”
